Egor Kuklin, a long-term employee of Snowhotel Family and an ice sculptor, has been invited to participate in the World Ice Carving Championship, part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic cultural program, in Italy next week on January 23–25, 2026. The event is an international invitation-based competition with a total of only 24 internationally recognized ice artists.
The invitation is based on previous competition success. Only sculptors who have advanced through international competitions in recent winter seasons and have been selected by the World Ice Carving Association are invited to take part. Egor’s invitation is a recognition of his long-term work, professional skill, and position in the international field of ice art.
– It’s an honor to receive an invitation to an event that is part of the Olympic cultural program. The final competition has been preceded by two years of preparation and qualifying events held in different countries, and I secured my place by winning a competition in Italy. This is an important milestone in my career and also an opportunity to represent Finland and the work being done here in Lapland on an international stage, Egor Kuklin says.
Snowhotel Family supports Egor’s participation as part of a long-term collaboration. The high-quality work of Egor and his colleagues is reflected in Snowhotel Family’s ice and snow art, which can be experienced at Arctic SnowHotel and Snowman World. Participation in the Olympic cultural program highlights Finnish ice art on an international stage, under the eyes of a global audience.
